Das Harman Kardon Multiroom System... ...basiert auf dem Russound A-Bus System. Das System wurde optisch und technisch überarbeitet und auf Harman Kardon Geräte abgestimmt. Über CAT-5-Kabel liefert der ABH 4000 Stereoton, Stromversorgung und Kontrollsignale von bis zu vier Audioquellen an bis zu vier verschiedene Hörzonen mit insgesamt bis zu acht Räumen. Das Bedienpanel AB 2 dient in Verbindung mit dem ABH 4000 zur Quellenwahl und Steuerung und kann mit dem integrierten Stereoverstärker ein Lautsprecherpaar in dem entsprechenden Raum antreiben. Damit bietet das ABH 4000 eine kostengünstige Möglichkeit, ein Multiroom-Audiosystem aufzubauen, für das nur die Quellgeräte, ein (oder mehrere) A-BUS-Hubs ABH 4000 sowie AB-2-Module und Lautsprecher für die jeweiligen Räume benötigt werden. Mit der Fähigkeit, unterschiedliche Audioeingänge zu verwalten, kann der ABH  4000 jeden Audio-/Video- bzw. Stereo-Receiver multiroomfähig machen, beziehungsweise die Möglichkeiten der Harman Kardon A-BUS/ READY Multiroom-Receiver erweitern. Darüber hinaus lassen sich beliebig viele ABH 4000 zur Versorgung von mehr Hörzonen und Räumen verbinden. Die Verkabelung ist denkbar einfach: Die Tastenfelder werden via Cat5/6/7 Kabel an die Zentrale angeschlossen und von dort mit 24 Volt und dem gewählten Audiostream versorgt. Ins Tastenfeld ist ein Verstärker integriert, der trotz seiner kompakten Baugröße ganz ordentlich zur Sache geht. Vom Tastenfeld führen Lautsprecherleitungen (max. 2x1,5qmm) zu passiven (Einbau-) Lautsprechern beliebiger Hersteller (siehe Leitungsbeispiel unten). Die Funktionen sind im Wesentlichen: - Auswahl aus 4 Quellen pro Raum - laut/leise, an/aus für jeden einzelnen Raum - Funktionsbefehle für die gewählte Quelle - eine nahezu unbegrenzte Anzahl an Räumen - sternförmige, günstige Cat-Verkabelung - aktive Tastenfelder mit integriertem Verstärkerteil - Infrarotrouting von IR-Fernbedienungsbefehlen an die Geräte in der Zentrale - Option auf lokale Eingangsquelle für den jeweiligen Raum Das System sollte nur mit Harman Kardon Geräten betrieben werden. Sie haben bereits Geräte von Harman Kardon? Ein Blick in die Bedienungsanleitung oder die Geräterückseite zeigt, ob Ihr Gerät bereits mit einem A-Bus Anschluss ausgestattet ist. Dies ist seit ca. 2006 der Fall. Die HarmanKardon Musikquellen und der AV-Receiver werden mit einem der kompakten zentralen Hubs verbunden. Es gibt einen Single Source Hub. Dieser wird allerdings selten genommen, da er nur eine Quelle z.B. den Ton, der am Receiver gewählt ist, verteilen kann... Den vollen Funktionsumfang liefert der folgende Hub. Der ABH4000 verfügt über folgende Anschlüsse: - Chinch In und Out für 4 Audioquellen - IR Out zur Steuerung der Quellen - Anschlüsse für 4 Haupt- und vier Subzonen (Subzonen können den Hauptzonen zugeschaltet werden) - A-Bus Link zum AV-Receiver - Anschlüsse für Stromversorgung - Link auf weitere ABH4000 für 5.-8. Raum, 9.-12. Raum usw. Die geringe Größe (etwa die Größe eines Schuhkartondeckels) vereinfacht die Platzierung bei der Anlage im Wohnzimmer. Die Zentrale kann aber auch in einem Technikschrank oder einem angrenzenden Schrank platziert werden. Status LED The LED behind the red window indicates thesystem’s status.• When the LED is not lit,the AB 2 is not connected to a powered A-BUS-equipped component or hub.• When the LED is at full brightness, the system is operational.• The LED will blink when it is receiving an infrared commandcode from a compatible remote control. AVR Tuner/DMP Control Tap this button to turn on an A-BUS-equipped Harman Kardon A/V receiver’s (AVR’s) multiroom system and select the tuner as the multiroom(remote-zone) source. Each additional tap changes the tuner band. Press and hold the DMP button to select "The Bridge/DMP" as the multiroom source. If a compatible iPod (not included) is docked inThe Bridge, it will begin playing.The Bridge is a Harman Kardon accessory that is sold separately. It may be connected to a "The Bridge-Ready Harman Kardon product". CD Source Control When the AB 2 is used with a HarmanKardon ABH 4000 or other compatible multizone A-BUS hub, and when a CD player is connected to Source 2 of the hub, tap this button to select the CD player as the source and begin play (if the player was not already playing). Tap the button againto pause play. If audio is not heard within a few moments of the first tap, tap the button again, as the CD player may have already been playing and would have interpreted the commandas a Pause. If this button was previously tapped to start play, press and hold the button to skip to the next disc (assuming the player is a multidisc unit). DVD Source Control When the AB 2 is used with a HarmanKardon ABH 4000 or other compatible multizone A-BUS hub and when a DVD player is connected to Source 3 of the hub, tap this button to select the DVD player as the source and begin play. If this button was previously tapped to select the DVD player as the source, press and hold the button to begin play. MP3 Source Control When the AB 2 is used with a HarmanKardon ABH 4000 or other compatible multizone A-BUS hub and when an MP3 player is connected to Source 4 of the hub, tap or press and hold this button to select the MP3 player as the source. Power Off/Mute Tap this button to mute the AB 2. Tap it again to resume hearing audio. Muting the AB 2 does not affect the source, which will continue playing. If the AVR’s tuner or The Bridge is the current source, or if the AB 2 is connected directly to the AVR, press and hold this button to turn off the AVR’s multiroom system. If any other source has been selected and the AB 2 has been connected to a hub, press and hold this button to power off the hub. Skip Up/Down Tap this button to skip up and press and hold it to skip down.
